[edit] MIT Beijing Club Annual Holiday Brunch - Sunday Dec. 28th, 2008
This year's annual Holiday Brunch took place on Sunday December 28th at 11:00 am at Chef too's in the Chaoyang District. A group of alumni currently in Beijing over the holidays gathered together for a great Western-style brunch which included specialties ranging from Buttermilk Pancakes and Huevos Rancheros to Chef too's classic Eggs Benedict.
The Holiday Brunch this year was a great success with both new and old faces. Alumni in attendance including Kelly Yu and Yuan Fang, both currently at Sloan in the class of '09, came from as far away as the United States. Andrew Maywah, MIT EECS class of '99 and currently at the Wharton School of Business, was also visiting China and in attendance.
At the Brunch, new Club officers Andy Tian '98, President, Reshma Kilnani '04, VP Membership, and Chris Tostado '07, VP Events introduced themselves and discussed plans for the Club's future in the next year. Andy also discussed the new MIT China Strategy (a strategy recently put forward by MIT which assigns a special task force to put forward ways in which MIT can form future partnerships with institutions in China) and how our Club can get involved.
