A round table discussion on how to improve MIT intra-club networking and communication is being organized by Bikui Chen '00 and Chris Tostado sometime in early November.
We are looking to have a working dinner event on Thurs. Nov. 5th, OR on Sunday Nov. 8th, depending on people's schedules and replies. Bikui has suggested a Sichuan restaurant in the GuoMao area called Xin Feiteng Yu Xiang 新沸腾鱼乡 in the world trade center to be accomodating to most people's schedules. I would really like to see some serious participation in this event, especially from alums who have been in the club for a couple of years now. Please send me or Bikui an email with your preferred time (thursday or sunday), and I'll send out another email based on people's feedback. Some of the important topics we hope to cover are:
- improving alumni relations within the club
- increasing MIT and MIT Beijing Club visibility in the Beijing area and in China
- improving relations with MIT
- possible academic events (college fair?) in the next year
- ideas for more alumni events
- anything else that people would like to discuss
