MIT has had a long history with China. Many of our alumns in Beijing were among the first set of exchange students from China in the 50's and 60's, and had an impact on building of modern China. One alum was involved in building the Ten Modern Constructions in Beijing, including the Worker Stadium. Another alum founded the leading Internet portal Sohu.com.
